The abacus encourages mathematical learning due to the multidimensionality of the game and the interaction between two aspects of mathematical learning:
1- the qualitative aspect, based on the different positions of the numbers and their use, with the awareness of counting and quantifying in several bases, performing multi base calculations;
2- the quantitative aspect, based on the different quantities of beads and manipulation which allows children to perform basic operations with mathematical concepts.
