The Production Techniques of Our Creations

29-11-2023

At Italveneta Didattica, we have always been involved in the design of our toys, combining the actual production with the selection of the best packaging, timely and secure shipping, and excellent customer service. Today, we want to take you behind the scenes of our company to explore the production phase, the heart of our operation, and explain how an Italveneta toy comes to life.

You've probably wondered how a children's game is created and what the process is from production to consumption. It all starts with a winning idea... and then? Let's explore it together.

From Idea to Production: How an Italveneta Toy Is created

draw of a toy manufacturing process

As producers of children's creations, we constantly look towards innovation and collaborate with schools, playrooms, and recreational centers for children, always following the latest trends. In our view, a successful toy combines unique value with marketability, without neglecting sustainability. Let's now examine the phases that lead from a winning idea to the sale of the best, safe, and sustainable children's games.

The Design Phase

In this phase, the target and characteristics of the toy are defined, and the task of the toy designer is tohand drawing a toy transform a brilliant intuition into a concrete product, ready for large-scale production. We work with technical drawings that clarify the shape and size of individual pieces and the assembly methods of materials.

The Creation of Prototypes

Using 3D software, a scale model of the game is created, respecting the dimensions of individual components. Today, with 3D printing, models and prototypes can be produced in-house. Alternatively, the digital concept is sent to a specialized laboratory for the creation and development of toy prototypes.

Once the prototype is created, the next step involves collecting feedback and qualitative information on the game, putting it in the hands of children and parents. Based on the analysis, potential risks of the toy, its uses, and any modifications to the initial project are identified. Tests and trials must cover every aspect of production and analyze the presence of chemicals and heavy metals in the game, in addition to its durability. Once safety requirements are met, we move on to the next phase.

Toy Testing in the Laboratory

All creations we produce undergo laboratory testing according to safety standards required by law and arelaboratory test subjected to chemical, mechanical, and physical tests. This ensures that Italveneta Didattica creations are 100% safe, of high quality, highly durable, and above all, compliant with the regulations of the country where they will be sold.

The Production Phase: The True Heart of the Creation of an Italveneta Didattica toy

The production phase has always been the true heart of the creations of an Italveneta toy, where technicians prepare molds and materials to manufacture, assemble, and package the toy. Our experience as manufacturers and suppliers of toys leads to the creation of quality products, and the use of the latest technologies ensures a reliable and non-toxic toy. people working at the production dept.Among the toy production techniques used is rotational molding, allowing the creation of exclusively hollow plastic objects of large dimensions. The process involves placing plastic material in a rotating mold, heating it to allow the plastic to take the desired shape, then cooling the material and opening the mold to extract the artifact. Another production technique is blow molding, which allows for variations in thickness. In this case, the creation of the game involves three phases:

1. Introduction of raw material and dye into the mold.

2. Heating at high temperatures (190°/200° C) to melt and extrude the compound inside the mold.injection moulding

3. Closing the mold walls and blowing compressed air at high pressure. Thanks to the dedicated circuit, the material, cooling, takes the shape of the internal walls of the mold.

Finally, those like us who produce toys also use injection molding, an industrial production process in which plastic material is melted and injected at high pressure into a closed mold, which is opened after the artifact cools.

Generally, injection occurs at high pressures and temperatures to allow the flow of "plasticized" material inside the machinery. The main phases of the injection molding method are:

injection machinery1. Loading and melting of the raw material.

2. Closing and locking of the mold.

3. Injection of material.

4. Maintaining pressure on the machine and releasing the pressure of the screw that joins the two mold parts.

5. Possible cooling with subsequent opening of the mold and extraction of the artifact.
